Spring Come to Wine Country

It is still raining some days but the ones in between are brilliantly sunny. Yellow is a theme for these days. The mustard flowers between the grapevines and daffodils blooming along the roadside are abundant. You can call it "soul food" , as in food for the soul. The tasting rooms still are relatively quiet except for the lively event weekends, especially those in Sonoma County. There are so many areas to choose from you can join the party or choose a destination away from the crowds.

Sonoma County Wine Events

There is the Wine Road Barrel Tasting on two weekends at the beginning of March. Visit www.wineroad.com  for details. Wineries in the Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valley appellations are participating, offering bites of food to compliment their wines.

April 23rd, 24th and 25th is Dry Creek Valley's Passport Weekend.   You can get on board by clicking Wine Growers of Dry Creek Valley.

May 15th and 16th is the Passport to Sonoma Valley event, with over 40 wineries and 200 wines to taste! You can purchase tickets via the link above.
